Although I am taking the very unusual and challenging buyer situation into account, and even though Beau was amazingly available at times, there were too many times I did not receive a callback and too many times when I found out about a problem from the buyer and not from the lender's team directly. Buyer needed regular guidance in the home-buying process, but that guidance and pushing of buyer to send required documentation and updates needed to come from the lender, not from me. Also, the first I saw (forwarded from buyer) any list of buyer items needed to close was on Sept 29, when original closing was on Oct 3. That is way too late in the process for the lender team to communicate that to a buyer.

We were first time home buyers that didn’t understand the process, and we weren’t directed towards the PHFA resources for first time home buyers until our loan reached the underwriting stage. A lot of headaches could have been avoided if we took that course as early as possible in the homebuying process.
