After my appraisal was completed, it took several weeks to get documents ready to sign. The first set of documents were incorrect, and the second set of documents had to be done. I was charged for the notary 2x; escrow had the county where my house was located incorrectly after the documents were corrected. This delayed my check for my cash-out. The process took longer than I expected, stared on November 2, 2020, and everything was funded on January 7, 2021.

Answering the phone, returning calls, and keeping a rudimentary log of what is needed/submitted would be a good start that would have avoided all of my other issues. At multiple points where I had questions, I would call, be met with a voicemail, leave a voicemail, and never get a call back. Then I would receive a call whenever someone needed something from me, whereI would then ask my questions and be told information was already provided to me that wasn't. Instead of just a quick small apology and giving me the correct information, I had multiple people argue with me and insist that I must not have seen said information. It wasn't a significant detail to argue over, but this insistence made me doubt their ability throughout this entire process. To compound these issues, I was asked for multiple copies of paperwork that had already been submitted to Jenn's email and through the mutliple portals she had me submit documents to. The only redeeming factor in all of this was Kylie. Kylie was the most responsive of everyone, typically returning my calls within 24 hours, and my answers to this survey would be completely different for her and how she helped wrap up this entire process.

The terms were great. The pricing was great. Communication was not great. We needed two credit pulls because of poor communication and incorrect guidance from Kari. There was no attempt to provide relief after she confused the close date by a singular day. Additionally, we were asked to sign documents before any time was spent explaining them. These documents, especially the quoted price, were changed multiple times without explanation or context. Overall, it was not a great first-time home-buying experience.
