We felt like the communication between ourselves and New American was less than stellar in the weeks prior to closing. The majority of communication had to be directly initiated by ourselves or our realtor. It was fine in the days directly preceding closing, but before that it felt like we were on our own.

Better communication. Jason was specifically better than the others from New American Funding, but overall I would not only not recommend the company -- I will be actively recommending that others go somewhere other than New American Funding.

I would have been satisfied with the level of service if I was provided accurate information at the beginning of the home financing process. I feel that I was mislead and placed in an uncomfortable position financially because of the inaccurate information. I believe that New American Funding did their best to recover after making errors, but that doesn’t erase the fact that errors were made.

I only spoke to Heather a handful of times. I spoke to Andrea most of the process. Andrea was very sweet and professional. She answer most of my questions and calls. However, the communicate was not the greatest. I had to have two extension that I did not want. They did not communicate with my insurance company about the extension that had to be issued. So I only had two days to fix the requirements the insurance company needed fixed before my home owners would be cancelled. Worst experience.

Erik did not do a good job of setting proper expectations for the funds needed to close. He knew my client was on a very tight budget, and he estimated low of every third-party fee there was. Her funds needed to close jumped from $2500 to $5100. He could have made a few calls and been able to see his numbers were WAY OFF. Ultimately, I had to give up a portion of my commission to go towards closing costs because they were funds my client simply did not have.

I'm accustomed to speaking with the lender and getting updates. I did not meet, or speak to Justin, until the day of closing... The loan went very smooth for the client, until day before closing when there were questions about the closing figures. I think with more communication it could have been avoided. But... We closed!!
