Michael was great, but the loan processing side of the business was horrible. I had to call Michael to find out what was going on because they were completely unresponsive.

Marshell failed to keep me informed throughout the process. I repeatedly had to email Marshell to get information on the status of our loan. On one occasion he didn't respond to my first email so I had to inquire a second time just to get a response from him. He was unaware of pertinent information as it relates to the loan/appraisal. I expected a much more pro active effort on his part. I've always heard good things about NAF. But after my experience, I would not recommend you.

I was disappointed that the emails stated New American would absorb thousands of dollars of closing costs- this turned out to not be the case whatsoever.

1. Staff able to check emails in a timely manner 2. Staff able to respond to questions 3. A clear understanding of the barriers and my expectations better manage 4. Scott relying less on support staff, they are not as competent as Scott and needed constant reminding of the issues 5. Better and more timely follow up

The correspondence with Mr. Gomez diminished greatly during the process of our refinance. Unreturned phone calls and emails occurred quite frequently, especially when timing was critical. The refinance process took a total of 3 months and ended up falling through, unfortunately. We felt mislead by Mr. Gomez and he continued to assure us that we were ready to finalize our refinanced mortgage. We believe that Mr. Gomez gave us information that was not backed up by his diligence.

Not changing things at the last min. Also not telling people that they have gone through underwriting and are approved only to find out there is more things that will be needed for approval.
