Our experience with Kyle went smoothly. However, our experience with Stephanie was extremely frustrating. She repeatedly requested additional information at the last minute and kept warning that our closing date would be delayed. She seemed disorganized and was not apologetic about the issues. The final week, in particular, was filled with problems, making it an incredibly stressful and disappointing experience. I would not recommend working with her.

Heather was hard to reach and communication wasn't what it should have been. When we would call to ask questions she wasn't answering the phone we had to go through our realtor to get answers to questions. She needs to improve in communication and timely responses.

The loan processor I was assigned for the majority of the time was incompetent. My loan was not processed in a timely manner, communication was lacking, and aspects of the loan that were originally discussed were not included once a correction was requested. This was only discoivered after the payout, which ultimately lead to conditions of the payout being incorrect. As Reid mentioned, it ultimately falls on him so in the future, it would be wise to oversee more of the loan process and ensure aspects of the loan are correct before payout. This is my second refinance and this time around, I was very disappointed almost every step of the way. There is no way I would recommend NAF to a friend or family member.

I absolutely love Christina! She is truly the best you can find. NAF is incredibly lucky to have her, and honestly, we would follow her to the moon and back. Throughout this entire process, she became more like family. She was always accessible, incredibly patient, and so kind. No matter the time or day, whenever I had questions she was there ready to help and provide answers. I truly could not have survived this process without her. I thank thank him for her every day—she was definitely an angel sent to guide us through this journey. Bernice, our loan processor, was also amazing. Her communication was excellent, and she stayed on top of everything from beginning to end. She made sure we closed on time and consistently kept us updated throughout the process. She was so sweet and always willing to help in any way she could to ensure everything moved forward smoothly. The only reason for a lower rating is due to my experience with Joe. I sent several emails and never received responses. To this day, I only heard from him once and never received follow-ups or replies to my messages. Thankfully, Christina and Bernice stepped in and ensured everything stayed on track. Without them, I’m not sure we would have made it through the closing process with Joe’s lack of communication. Please don’t let one experience overshadow the incredible people at this company. Christina, Bernice, and Charles (the concierge) were all wonderful and made a huge difference in our journey. Their dedication, care, and professionalism truly deserve recognition.

Make sure your loan consultants give out accurate loan information. I asked multiple times verbally and in writing if there was a way to have the payment pulled weekly and he assured me there was and the apparently isn't.

Initially, there was a checklist of required documentation that I uploaded to the portal. Multiple additional requirements for more documentation were issued, and they were given to me over about 8 weeks. I feel like too much time was wasted, and I didn't feel my loan was getting the attention I expected. Look at when the loan was first started and when it closed. I have done a similar loan with another lender in the past, and it took 19 days. Patrick was very accessible when he was selling me; then, after I signed and became a customer, things slowed down, and I didn't know I was handed off to a processor. I wasn't told. It's also confusing for a customer to have to use multiple portals to provide information. We also missed a lock-in on a lower rate that should have taken place. I was notified that the lock-in was missed and that the new rate was higher. All of the disclosure info needed to be re-run. I was never told I was paying points; I only became aware after the lock-in when I read the disclosure. Only the rate and the monthly cost were mentioned. Overall, I was disappointed, and I placed too much trust in Patrick, and that was my fault, but NAF should have better procedures in place.
