I had to constantly check in for updates. I started in March and closed in August. Even though the virus was around it took 5 months to refinance.

Communication has been very poor thorough the process. I lost out of a .375% lower rate because of lack of communication, and even after conversations of my frustrations, there was no change in communication. Then my closing documents were not accurate at the time of signing, showing a refund 2.5k less that it was supposed to be. I was told that this would be corrected immediately, and that I would get my refund check overnighted. Over 20 days later, I finally received a check and it was wrong!

The process for the FHA renovation loan, my clients & myself was very disappointing. Lots of paperwork that seemed standard was asked for very late after our Due Diligence period. Our closing was delayed 5 times, even on the day of closing we couldn’t record because of one missing document from the lender’s office that was overnighted to late.

The staff does not have accurate knowledge of the mortgage process and regulations. We planned to have a gift as part of our downpayment and on a Friday afternoon 2 weeks before our scheduled close we learned that our original method for receiving the gift was not allowed. Staff should have told us in advance so we could plan appropriately. In addition, the "clear to close" was delayed significantly without explanation just a "we got our wires crossed" email.

Start by saying it wasnt deano I was unsatisfied with . I used your company before and couldn't have been more impressed that's why I didn't try any other company this time. But from start to finish this time I was very upset. Lack of information, options and timeliness. I realize with covid issues some things would be different but overall if I was to go through the refinance or when I purchased my new property I will definitely have to check out other options first.

She made a lot seem like she was doing me a favor when, in fact, it's the law to disclose certain information/changes. Concise phone calls would also have been nice. I realize she was trying to be personable but it was very excessive. Phone calls lasted a very long time when they didn't need to.

Anthony was very helpful and knowledgeable throughout most of the process but closing was a DISASTER. There was a huge lack of communication between New American Funding and the companies they subcontracted which caused a lot of frustration and poor business. I was even asked to provide closing costs a second time because they didn't keep track of the cashier's check I provided them.
