I spoke with Joe at New American Funding about 6 months before I needed to close on a new home loan and asked at least 6 times that my credit not be pulled but rather just wanted to explore their various loan options. I was assured over and over and over that my credit wouldn’t be pulled and that everything would be fine. Well you guessed it, my credit was pulled and to them wasn’t much of an issue and was really just swept under the rug, which was incredibly annoying and unprofessional. I spoke to Joe over the phone about the issue and was told “don’t worry it won’t effect your score” well it actually dinged my score 17 points and my wife’s 13. Exactly what I didn’t need while trying to buy a new home. And now I am left working with the credit report company that provides the credit reports to New American Funding to get everything reversed and pulled off my credit report. End of the story is that all they cared about was getting my info to process another loan and make another buck or two. And their quote wasn’t even very competitive.

This by far was the worst lender we have ever worked with. They continuously asked for information most experienced lenders ask in advance of ever approving a loan for their client. Going forward, should this lender be involved on either side of a property transaction, we will do our best to convince them to use another lender.

Clay came to our home to sign documents we forgot. His team came near our house to sign more documents. How many lending institutions would do that!

New America funding really dropped the ball on getting us our loan quickly and easily. We were still being emailed on the day of signing to sign more paperwork. And to make matters worse, we were supposed to sign at 1:30 pm. Its was 4pm before we recieved our loan and paperwork. This was my first time home buying experience and honestly, it did not feel good. Dont go with this company.

This place is a scam. Don't go here if you are military. It should be black listed by the VA. After you get you home they are done with you no help at all.
