The buyers on our home went through New American Funding and there were several delays in getting their loan through closing. They could not communicate to the realtors an honest closing date. We moved into our new place almost a month too early and had to pay double mortgage/rent for nearly a month because there was poor communication on whether we were going to closing or not. The initial communication delay came 12 hours before our initial closing was suppose to happen. There were subsequently 2 more delays after that. I understand obtaining a mortgage is difficult, but communication and honesty were very poor on New American Fundings end. I am happy that this now over with and will never consider or recommend anyone to go through this company.

Not using Cid. He was too busy making Cuban coffee.

Rebecca was referred as a family friend. In the beginning she made everything sound easy and almost perfect. As the process went on there was little to no communication about important things like down payments, rates and things we needed to have prepared. I reached out multiple times requesting what was needed on our end. Eventually she delayed our closing 3 days prior to the set date bc she forgot to lock us in and follow up on paperwork. Unprofessional and not punctual. We will NEVER recommen

Well, I can't really write a review on Matt because we never met him or were introduced to him. We worked with another loan officer that pretended she was the one doing all the work. It was a terrible experience all around.

Steve was VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. We had a Verbal conversation about locking in my rate and he kept saying to wait wait wait that it’ll go lower. And when I pretty much demanded to lock in my rate we were at a 4.25 with new American funding, yeeverybody else to offered a cheaper rate! But due to the buyer incentive of $8000 I had no choice but to go with new American funding. He even tried to sneak in origination fees that were not allowed, saying that it was by down fees.

I spoke with Joe at New American Funding about 6 months before I needed to close on a new home loan and asked at least 6 times that my credit not be pulled but rather just wanted to explore their various loan options. I was assured over and over and over that my credit wouldn’t be pulled and that everything would be fine. Well you guessed it, my credit was pulled and to them wasn’t much of an issue and was really just swept under the rug, which was incredibly annoying and unprofessional. I spoke to Joe over the phone about the issue and was told “don’t worry it won’t effect your score” well it actually dinged my score 17 points and my wife’s 13. Exactly what I didn’t need while trying to buy a new home. And now I am left working with the credit report company that provides the credit reports to New American Funding to get everything reversed and pulled off my credit report. End of the story is that all they cared about was getting my info to process another loan and make another buck or two. And their quote wasn’t even very competitive.
