Buying a home with Caliber was the worst experience I have ever had in my life. Not only did whatever was said to us not come true, but the communication level and severely lacking. They asked for redundant documents several times and made closing more difficult then it should have been. Not on top of anything and every time we were told we were approved and good to go, something else was required that was already given to them. I hope to be refinancing with another company as soon as possible and will never recommend Caliber home loans. Every time we had to hear from Caliber the stress level went up to a whole new high. They also got our closing cost wrong and made us go out of our way to obtain a money order for $7.30. We are a struggling family of 4 with a newborn and had to live out of hotels and air bnb’s for over a month. Richard always started the phone call with “I’m on your side” but I failed to see it every time. Very disappointed.

When I would call to ask him a question regarding the loan he wasn't really helpful or friendly.

My experience with New American Funding, particularly with the Senior Loan Officer overseeing my refinance, has been extremely disappointing. What should have been a simple, straightforward process turned into a disorganized, stressful ordeal due to repeated mistakes, delays, and a lack of accountability at the leadership level. Here are the major issues I encountered: • R*** changes that created unnecessary complications • A missed manufacturing date that caused preventable delays • A timeline that dragged on far beyond what was promised • Multiple errors regarding which credit cards were supposed to be paid off, even after I clarified several times • A sudden $6,000+ change in the cash-back amount compared to what was originally presented These are not minor oversights — they reflect serious mismanagement. The Senior Loan Officer responsible for my file failed to provide accurate information, consistent communication, or basic attention to detail. Follow-up emails addressing major issues went unanswered, adding to the frustration and financial stress caused by their repeated errors. For someone in a senior position, the level of disorganization and lack of ownership was shocking. A company that advertises “5-star service” should not allow this kind of leadership failure to impact customers. My trust in New American Funding has been completely eroded. Based on my experience with the Senior Loan Officer and the overall handling of my refined work, I cannot recommend this company to anyone seeking professional, reliable, or customer-focused service for their financing needs.

If Blair or whoever knew what they were doing!!! And would communicate correctly!! as never given an idea of the way the process worked! A list of steps would have been nice. Blair had all the information from the beginning! Two weeks after being told it was a done deal and after having to sign several documents we were told a Bridge Loan would not work because we had 2.5 acres! Blair knew this from the beginning!! Blair knew my wife is blind! An online notary was set up, BUT the notary would not let me help my BLIND wife complete the form. When we finally closed on the loan the second online notary allowed allowed me to assist my blind wife complete the form. The only way I would EVER refer someone to you is if someone in authority would call me and offer me a $5,000 apology!!! This was a 7 week nightmare!!! Especially considering how my blind wife was treated!!! This process started on April 2 and did not close until May 27th! We were supposed to close on May 21!

woman, it was very unorganized emails after emails, different people asking for the same stuff then when I couldn't sign something, they told me to call technical support just very disorganized, jumping back-and-forth from the beginning to the end. My overall experience was very unpleasant I've button.cause before and worth this I don't have time for nonsense. I work in Caroline Industry and I out in the field. I don't have time to email and do PDF files and stupid crap like that. I just need somebody to get me alone take the data I have and get me alone I don't want no crap. I don't care about all the red tape. I want a good interest ratrate and very little communications because I don't have time for it. I got a decent interest rate and that's about the only thing I was satisfied with my fault this take your is it at the door for me on New, American funding and I know I'm not the easiest person to get along with either, but I'm the customer that's your guises problem so that's all I got to say

Almost zero efforts to pick up a phone to have conversations about issues. Closing extended a month past original closing date. Subject to appraisal requirements on cosmetic repairs for a house that financing less than a car loan. Underwriter had no understanding of PA rural properties.

The whole process was just one problem after another. Multiple closing date push backs all caused by new american funding, took forever to do their jobs, and overcharged me on everything they possibly could. If I thought the sellers would have waited for me to find another company I would have.

took it upon themselves to increase my loan amount by almost $6000 so that they could charge me $6000 in fees, which were never disclosed and I will be making a formal complaint to the CFP The dishonesty and the corrupt nature of this transaction will definitely be investigated. I was never informed about any of the fees or any of the costs other than there may be one small fee that would probably be wait. My fees added up to over $8000 on $125,000 HELOC.
