What would have made my experience better would have been having a different loan officer. Phylisha incorrectly quoted me loan terms >5x and almost lost me my first home after telling me the Monday before a Friday close that the underwriters were denying my loan despite my financial situation improving post-pre approval. She was unprofessional, unavailable, and I absolutely would not recommend New American. Run - don't walk - to another lender.

Get structure and communications within departments figured out. The right hand doesn't know what the left is doing at any given time. In addition I would suggest re-training your employees so that they understand what the processes are when handling loan approvals and closings.

HORRIBLE! Incompetent! She cannot complete basic math and reading! Repeated questions and asked for documents she already had! SIX times she said she had EVERYTHING and ready for closing but the next day she started asking for the same information. Average time for a lender to close a deal is 3 weeks, this fool was still repeating questions at 6 weeks. FINALLY got rid of her and our new lender took 3 days to complete EVERYTHING that she could not do in 6 weeks! SO HAPPY to be done with this company and her!!!

Salma was incompetent from the start. Constantly asking for documents that had already been submitted to not being able to calculate simple math. Increased my closing date by over a month because they didn't go through paperwork that was submitted day 1.

Not a good experience when I called or text no one called me back. They had my loan for 3 weeks no status calls no return calls Heather was inconsiderate avoiding me she was never available ask for manager Greg no call from him either. I never treated my clients like they treated me. I always called my clients back always. Spent over 20 years in this business if you made a mistake and you didn't know what your doing ask for help. I called my other friend in the business and was told you should have never held the loan that long and got an answer from him in 1 day. Very disappointed.
Stay one step ahead
