Matthew lacked in communication. Matthew had little patience with us. Very unprofessional. He constantly lied to us regarding closing. Had to involve supervisor to see results. He was the worst. Would NEVER refer. Don't get involved with this company!

My loan manager, Damien, was largely inaccessible and non-communicative for days at a time (both phone and email). Each time he would check on something, it took days to get information about what next steps were needed. He also continually said he would reach out, touch base, or finalize something by a deadline--that he then repeatedly failed to meet. He would promise that he could do something or make something work, but then he couldn't because of some new information or form needed. My closing took so long and had to be rescheduled so many times that my seller almost backed out entirely. Very disappointing, and would NOT recommend. The only bright light was my final processor, Diana. She was the only competent person I worked with at NAF. She was quick to reply to emails and new what she needed and when she would have answers for me. She saved my deal.

Diego Bonilla deserves 0 stars. After several weeks of him having all necessary information, he finally got back to us with a verbal pre-approval. He let us know he had to check on how the taxes were split for the two homes we wanted to purchase, hence only getting a verbal approval at that time. When he told us the taxes would prevent him from approving us for the two homes on one parcel, he never specified that we would no longer be approved at all. I’ve been calling and texting Diego for a week trying to get a final answer on if we are approved, since he did say we were. Now we are forced to renew our lease rather than buying a home right now because he wasted so much of our time. It’s not about if we got approved or not, he still should’ve let us know before completely ghosting us. I do not recommend working with New American Funding and I would highly encourage you to not work with Diego, unless you have time to waste and the energy to deal with his lack of professionalism.

I worked with Kat on another listing (not this one) and I did not receive a survey. I was not impressed with the fact that she kept moving the loan "goal posts" and my client was not approved for the loan (eventhough he accomplished ALL tasks required by Kat and her team) Disappointing to say the least.

Worst home insurance company ever!!! I went with NAF because they offered a $10,000 incentive with my new home that I wasn’t able to get with any other lender. I worked with Pam Rios who was sweet as pie, until she got my business then she became a piece of work. When I got my closing date I immediately called her to lock my rate since interest rates weren’t as low as they are now. She ignored my requests costing me thousands of dollars since I ended up with a higher interest rate. I spoke with Toby (her manager) to see if there is a way they would be able to pay down my interest rate since Pam failed to act in a timely manner. Well what a waste of time that was. Toby was on the defense immediately, cutting me off when I spoke and and wasn’t interested in anything I had to say. I had to contact the CEO for them to take action and actually do something. Because NAF is such a large corporation, they didn’t care about my little loan or the unprofessionalism their employees exhibit. After a year I switched to another lender and couldn’t be happier. I highly suggest looking elsewhere when seeking a lender for your home loans.

I WILL NEVER USE NEW AMERICAN FUNDING OR EVER REFER THEM. MY HUSBAND AND I WAS REFERRED TO BECKY BROWN, MORTGAGE BROKER,NMLS#211483. IT WAS THE MOST DISREPECTFUL EXPERIENCE WE EVER HAD IN OUR LIFE!!!! ON OCTOBER 14, 2020, WE WERE TOLD SHE WOULD CALL US AT 630PM MST. WE WAITING FOR ONE HOUR WITHOUT A RETURN CALL OR A TEXT. MY HUSBAND TEXTED HER AT 730PM MST, HER RESPONSE WAS "SHE WENT TO DINNER AND NOW IT'S HER TIME"!!!!! SO OUR REALTOR ASKED US TO GIVE HER ANOTHER CHANCE. SO........ON OCTOBER 16,2020, ONCE AGAIN SHE WAS TO CALL US THAT EVENING, OF COURSE, SHE DID NOT. HER RESPONSE VIA TEXT WAS "OH I FORGOT"!!!!!REALLY ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!!! I AM A CHRISTIAN WOMAN AND I DO NOT WRITE BAD REVIEWS, HOWEVER, I COULD NOT!!!! WE HAVE BEEN NOTHING SHORT OF TOTAL DISREPECT FOR US, UNPROFESSIONAL, UNCARING, WITH A VERY ARROGNANT ATTITUDE. IT'S TOO BAD THIS WORLD HAS PEOPLE WITH THIS ATTITUDE "IT'S ALL ABOUT ME"!!! SHE TREATED US LIKE OUTSIDERS. IT'S TOO BAD THIS COMPANY EMPLOYS PEOPLE LIKE HER. MAYBE IF WE LIVED IN GEORGIA, SHE WOULD HAVE TREATED US WITH THE MANNER THAT EVERYONE SHOULD BE TREATED!!!WITH RESPECT!!!

I was given false information throughout the loan process. Then at the end with closing, it all came out that I had not been given correct information. This caused huge problems with closing. The buyers of the house I was selling were the only thing that bailed me out of a terrible situation. Pete did not fix his mistakes, the buyers and my real estate agents made up for his errors.
